New I-CAT division enhances environmental sustainability
20 August, 2015: It is becoming more important for companies to comply with increasinglystringent environmental legislation and regulations when conducting their business. I-CAT
recently expanded theirs Environmental Management Division’s service offering, which is
dedicated to assisting clients in meeting their environmental obligations in a safe and
sustainable manner.
The I-CAT Environmental Division specialises in assisting companies operating in numerous industries
to not only achieve environmental compliance, but to ensure continuous improvement in all aspects
of environmental performance. The company appointed Rachelle Stofberg and Leon van Rensburg
to head up the division.
Collectively, they boast over a decade of environmental management experience and impressive
qualifications in the field. Stofberg has worked in the public and private sectors with specific
experience in mining, industrial, waste and power distribution infrastructure. Van Rensburg boasts
in-depth experience in environmental monitoring, reporting and environmental impact mitigation
research, particularly within the industrial and mining sectors.
Stofberg highlights the fact that the I-CAT Environmental Division’s service offering has been wellreceived to date. “The divisional services have been welcomed in the mining and industrial business
sectors. Our clients’ needs form the heart of our operations and empower I-CAT to be a market
leader in the field of environmental consulting. Our team places the utmost emphasis placed on

I-CAT’s Environmental Division specialises in waste classification and management, environmental
compliance monitoring (water, dust, and noise), environmental licensing and permitting and
compliance and performance audits and reviews. It is also able to assist with the achievement of
sustainability and integrated reporting requirements in line with the relevant reporting standards.
