review needed areas of guidelines.

modeling clay. Discuss √ Ur Reading questions as you read. Use Classzone.com and reading CD.

Activity & Assessment: As a class, watch clip on Japan earthquake, then students take notes from PowerPoint
1.4, follow text pages 30-36. Individually, students solve page 36, 1-6 in notebooks. As a class, use
whiteboards to discuss questions.
