This New Year I'll be so good.

And help my sister, father, and my
mother.

Celebration of New Year in France, Germany and Italy
Kerzen kommt. Große Karusselle werden elektrisch angetrieben. Zu Weihnachten gibt es Lebkuchen,
Spekulatius, Plätzchen, Stollen und natürlich eine Weihnachtsgans.
Celebration of New Year Eve in Italy. All over Italy you’ll find outdoor celebrations of the New Year’s Eve
with music and dancing. Big cities such as Rome and Bologna hold outdoor concerts and events which are
shown on TV all over the country. Italians celebrate the end of the year and the beginning of the New Year’s
Day with fantastic fireworks as well. An old tradition which is still practiced in many regions of Italy is to
throw old things out of the windows. They throw away pots, pans and clothes out of the window to let go the
past and move toward the future. So, keep your eyes up! Traditionally Italians celebrate New Year’s Eve with
special dinner which includes: Risotto in bianco (white risotto), Lentils (symbolizing wealth and fortune),
Cotechino (pork sausage), Raisins (for good luck).
