Job Title: Project Delivery Manager
Location: Daresbury
Salary: £32,000 to £35,000 + performance related bonus (negotiable subject to skills/experience)
Type: Full time temporary - permanent
Based in the Daresbury Innovation Campus, 10 minutes from Warrington, Inventya is a leading management
consultancy specialised in the commercialisation of science, engineering and technology.
The £9.8m Centre for Global Eco-innovation (CGE), led by Lancaster University in partnership with the University of
Liverpool and Inventya Ltd, provides more than 285 North West companies with expert help to support the region's
economy in key export markets through the development of new, greener products and services.
Who we are looking for:
We currently have a vacancy for a Project Delivery Manager with past experience of managing publicly funded business
support projects and providing SME businesses across the chemical, biomedical, environmental technologies, digital or
high value sectors with proactive business support.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for day-to-day project management of the final twelve months of the
project (for Inventya Ltd), ensuring achievement of all project objectives and be able to demonstrate:




Experience of delivering and managing large scale projects involving multiple stakeholders, achieving all
project objectives
Experience and understanding of the business support needs and constraints of technology-based SMEs
A very strong customer focus and strive to exceed clients’ expectations while delivering distinctive and lasting
client impact
The ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and requirements
Experience of working on a European Regional Development Funded (ERDF) project is highly desirable.
What you’ll be doing:
 Undertake day-to-day project management of the ERDF funded project (on behalf of Inventya)
 Maintain effective project management processes and ensure that project targets are achieved
 Provide high quality and successful financial project management, control and reporting
 Ensure compliance with project policies
 Co-ordinate the delivery of the existing business support programme to participating SMEs
 Conduct SME capability audits and develop relevant business support programme of activities
 Develop and manage high value collaborative partnerships between SMEs, funding providers and universities
 Work with the managing director to continue to recruit businesses so as to achieve project objectives, then
managing registration of businesses into the business support programme
 Establish trusting client and working relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers
You’ll be based at our Daresbury office and in the Lancaster Environment Centre but frequent visits to other partner
and business locations of participating SMEs across the North West will be necessary.
Please note that this is a fixed term contract until December 2015 and is co-financed by the European Regional
Development Fund. At this stage it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be offered a permanent position with
Inventya at project close.
