Power of One Assignment –Three Parts, due Friday September 22nd – Hard Copy
I. What is the “Power of One”? Can individuals make a difference in the huge environmental problems facing
us today? Include at least one sincere question in your response. Refer to at least one of the environmental
heroes discussed in Chapter 2. (No more than a paragraph, please). Paste this on your mini-poster (paper and
paste provided-please do not put it on your own larger paper).
II. Describe your summer “Power of One” activity. Be sure to state as specifically as possible how your action
helped the planet (“picking up trash” is not enough. How was this a benefit to the ecosystem? You may need to
do some research in your text or online). Document the effect of your action: I am looking for real evidence,
not claims here. Paste this on your mini-poster (paper and paste provided-please do not put it on your own
larger paper).
I will print out one small color image for each person, if you send it to me before next Wednesday.
This should take about ½ a typed page (pasted to the bottom of your poster) and most of the area below Part I.
