WHATS ON AT THE FARM

Sunday 25th January 10-3pm
A great introduction to the skills of green woodworking,suitable for people
with little or no experience.
Sunday 31st January 10-12noon
Children will learn how to draw designs, measure, cut a pattern, pin, drape and
sew.
Saturday 7th February 10-3pm
Tim Childs our Farm Manager will take you through the basics of keeping farm
animals. Including feeding, regulations and health care. If you are thinking of
setting up a smallholding this is for you.
Sunday 22nd February 10-3pm
Learn how to weave a small to medium sized multipurpose basket from willow.
At the end of the day you'll be able to leave with your own finished basket.
16th-20th February
Lots of fun activities based in the farmyard, gardens and the NEW outdoor
kitchen – pizza making, grow it eat it, animal care
Friday 30th January 9.30-4pm
This is chance to find out more about volunteer roles, chat to current
volunteers and get stuck into activities at the farm!
REGULAR ACTIVITIES AT THE FARM
MONDAYS, 9.30-11.30am.
Drop-in and have some outdoor fun at the farm with your little one.
Inc. mud kitchen, forest school, feeding the animals and growing some veg.

Fantastic sessions with our Farm Adventurers team, experiencing outdoor
play, forest school, farming, growing veg and nature crafts,
THURSDAYS 3.45-5.15pm
Lots of outdoor fun learning about nature and food. Inc harvesting & cooking
in the new outdoor kitchen, feeding and looking after the animals, shelter &
fire building ..
TUESDAYS 6-8pm
Feeling isolated? We offer a friendly drop-in session for people living with
mental health problems.
WEDNESDAYS 1-5pm FRIDAYS 10-5pm
Fantastic chance for older people to get out and about and make friends. We pick up from
home and go on lots of outings.
TUESDAY - FRIDAY
We run weekly courses in arts, crafts, gardening , writing and yoga. See our ‘Adult

WHATS HERE AT THE FARM
Set in the middle of a four acre city farm, the nursery provides a unique early
years childcare experience for 9months – 5 years, using all of the farms
resources. Open Mon – Fri 8am-6pm 9months-5yrs.
Open 7 days a week, the farms cosy café uses locally sourced ingredients,
some which are grown on site! Pop in for lunch, weekend brunch or locally
roasted coffee & homemade cake. RELAX we have an enclosed toddler play area!
We now have four FUN free trails for you to discover at the farm GARDEN
FRIENDS, GOLDEN CABBAGE, STORY TRAIL & PLAY TRAIL.
Pick up a trail leaflet at farm reception and your adventure will begin!
We are a working farm specialising in food education. You will find goats,
sheep, cows, chickens, ducks and geese in our farmyard and our outdoor
paddocks.
With two picnic areas, childrens’ gardens & digging spaces, a wildlife reserve,
orchards & veg plots, the farms gardens can provide a much needed slice of
nature in the heart of the city.
