Following the high winds and heavy rain associated with storm Frank, a section of the ceiling
in Stanley Church has collapsed. There was also significant water ingress in other areas and
another section of ceiling showing water damage.
After an initial assessment and discussions with Presbytery we feel that there is a clear danger
of further sections of the ceiling coming down, and that a professional assessment of the
public safety will be required before allowing public access and therefore Worship in the
Church building.
On Tuesday 19th January 2016 there will be a session meeting at 7pm in the Luncarty Church
Centre to discuss the short term arrangements for worship and also to discuss the architects
report on the Stanley Church building which we hope to have received by then. This is an
open meeting and all interested parties are invited to attend.
