Company Profile:
The infrastructure, support services and construction group, Robertson, is looking for a Trainee Quantity
Surveyor to work for their Partnership Homes Company.
The successful applicant will assist the Senior/Project Surveyors in the day-to-day running of contracts
and act professionally to protect and maintain the good standing of the company within the industry and
its clients.
Job Profile:














Prepare bills of quantities and schedules of works for pricing
Prepare and issue sub-contract enquiries
Sub-contract comparison and preparation of sub-contract agreements
Attend and take minutes from meetings
Prepare valuations with clients, agree amounts and ensure invoices are prepared and issued
Re-measuring of work using site measurements and measurements from drawings
Re-measuring of sub-contract applications
Process sub-contract payments
Ensure sub-contractors are informed of contract variations
Prepare cash flow forecasts
Valuing variations
Assist with reporting on contract performance through monthly cost/value reconciliations
Agree client and sub-contract final accounts
Assist the Senior/Project Surveyor with all day to day duties
Requirements:







2nd, 3rd or 4th year students currently working towards an Undergraduate Degree in Quantity
Surveying (or similar)
Enthusiastic individual with a willingness to learn
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient IT user including Microsoft Office
Good understanding of the construction process and roles of the site teams
Excellent time keeper
A valid driving licence is essential
Hours:
08:00 – 17:00 Monday – Friday
