EXPERIENCE:
1. Created seven Laboratories and Workshop for Civil Engineering department between November
2007 and March 2008 towards the accreditation of the department. They are:
- Computation laboratory
- Geotechnical laboratory
- Environmental / Graduate Research Laboratory
- Hydraulic/Hydrology laboratory
- Structures laboratory
- Highway Engineering laboratory
- Geodetic Laboratory
- Materials and Concrete Workshop (for Concrete, Plumbing, Carpentry & Iron-bending)
2. Compiled and recommended lists of equipment for each laboratory and Workshop
for purchase by the University.
3. Set up and installed the equipment for each laboratory and workshop along with
Suppliers’ Technicians.
4. Preparation of appropriate materials and experimental models for each equipment
5. Preparation of standard experiments for 300 to 500 level students in line with
NUC syllabus for each level.
6. Preparation of materials and equipment prior to each practical class

- Created one comprehensive laboratory, one workshop and Construction garden for
Building Department of the University.
- Compiled all list of equipment and Set up the laboratory/workshop
- Took part in the recruitment of Technologists for the department
- Re-trained the Technologists
- Prepared the laboratory and workshop for NIOB and COBON professional accreditation
exercises. The department was accredited from 2009 up to date, 2015..
15. Acting as the Adjunct Consultant Technologist for Civil Engineering Department to Land-mark
University, Omu-aran Kwara State on secondment from Covenant University, Ota: 2009-2012.
Landmark University, Omu-aran is a sister University of Covenant University. Both were
founded by Bishop (Dr) David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), International.
- I was involved in the design and supervision of Engineering complex for the Landmark
University, Omu-aran 2009.
- Created four laboratories and workshop for the take off of Civil Engineering department of
the University between Jan 2011 and May 2011 towards accreditation of the University for
initial take-off. The University was accredited in April
- Compiled and recommended lists of equipment for each laboratory and Workshop for
purchase by the University in 2013.
- Set up and installed all the equipment for each laboratory and workshop along with
Suppliers’ Technicians.
18. CONSTRUCTION AND MODELLING PROJECT: Development and construction of an
experimental model treatment plant to treat Covenant University sewage. Project was used by Dr.
Olukanni to conduct his PhD research work in 2011.

I originated the Advanced Certificate (part - time) Programme in Civil Engineering Construction
Technology in 1990 as a further vocational training for Construction Company workers with Trade Tests
papers, graduates of the Certificate Course in Draughtsmanship as well as practising Laboratory
Assistants.
PURPOSE OF PROGRAMME: (1) The two - year programme prepared qualified students towards
Advanced City & Guilds of London (now NABTEB) in respective trades in the first year. The second year
prepares them for the Full Technological Certificate (FTC – 861 : Construction Crafts Supplementary
Studies) examinations of the City & Guilds.
