Engineering Manager
Do you want to be part of one of the largest residential developers in the UK and to have an opportunity to develop a
successful career? This is your chance to join a fantastic Engineering Team within TW North West in Warrington.
We are looking for a dynamic, confident and knowledgeable Engineering Manager who will be able to manage and
produce complete engineering design solutions for residential developments, from land identification to development
completion.
You will interpret reports, make recommendations for foundation designs, road designs, drainage strategies and
remediation strategies and also provide engineering information for planning submissions.
The successful candidate will have experience of drawing and directing proposals for delivery of site layouts; Track
record of leading and managing subordinates in a team structure; Track record of managing department fee budgets
And show thorough understanding of planning process.
The Role:









Preparing and delivering site layout drawings
Preparing submissions for S38, S278 & S104 approvals
Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
Maintaining regional housing styles portfolio
Discharge of CDM responsibilities
Managing a team structure consisting of Design Engineers, Site Engineer, Trainee Engineer and Adoptions
Coordinator
Procuring Technical Approvals
Procuring Building Regulations Approvals/NHBC
Issuing and managing drawings

Dealing with planning & architectural site queries in a timely manner

Managing D&P payments and budgets


Manage team progress against department programmes within a deadline driven culture.
Ensure the quality of engineering information provided both internally and externally is of the highest standards
The Person:









Appropriate degree preferred
Track record of negotiating successful planning consents for residential development
Experience of preparing working drawings and supporting information (when required) together with and
understanding of technical and regulatory standards
AutoCad, PDS & Windes software
Ability to work to tight deadlines and to programme
Excellent communications skills essential
Ability to manage others (internal & external) to agreed deadlines
Negotiation skills in sensitive planning situations
Commercial awareness of design and design changes
In order to be successful in this role you must be able to prove eligibility to work in the UK.
