PRACTICAL INFORMATION
This year we are meeting in
Wrocław [pron.: Vrotzlove]. It
is one of the oldest and the
most beautiful cities in Poland.
Due to its location at the Odra
river, 12 islands and 118 bridges (bigger and smaller)
Wrocław is called the "Venice of the North".

- an opening evening with introduction to COEUR 2012, team
formation and dinner of regional cuisine
Date and locations
The oldest part of the city – the Cathedral Island –
remembers times of the early Middle Ages. And the
City Hall of Wrocław is ranked among the most beautiful Gothic buildings in Central Europe.
We are also the greenest city of Poland. The most
beautiful areas of Wrocław include Szczytnicki Park
with the Japanese Garden and the Centennial Hall (at
UNESCO cultural heritage list), and with the neighbouring zoological garden, set up in 1865.
Theatres, the Opera House, the Philharmonic Society,
museums and galleries offer countless cultural
events including the most famous one – the International Festival Wratislavia Cantans.
Wrocław, due to its location in the vicinity of Germany and the Czech Republic, is an attractive investment place for Polish and foreign businesspeople. It
is also the host
city of UEFA
EURO
2012
Football Championships.
But most of all
Wrocław is the
city of students,
with
over 20 higher
education institutions and a total number of 130.000
students who spend their free time in countless clubs
and pubs of the Wrocław city centre.

Accommodation
For the part of the program spent in Wrocław we are
booking well-equipped twin rooms in the dormitory
just a few steps from the University campus.
Participation fee
The participation fee is €250. It includes: accommodation and food, travelling between locations of
COEUR 2012 and participation in the cultural part of
the programme.
If you plan to arrive earlier or leave later we are
ready to assist you to find appropriate accommodation in Wrocław.

students (payment of €100 is required).

there are free places available

registered in June (payment of €100 is required).
Travelling tip
There is an international airport in Wrocław which
operates flights from several European cities (see

WHAT IS COEUR?
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
“Competence in EuroPreneurship (COEUR) Idea Generation Workshop is a five day students' workshop
running every year in September at one of the
COEUR network universities. Open for students from
all disciplines the COEUR workshop is an instrument
to generate new entrepreneurial ideas with a European dimension. On a level of personal development
it enables a unique intersocial and cross-cultural
experience stimulating independent thinking and
responsible behaviour.
We will be happy to answer your questions on COEUR 2012 or
to facilitate your participation in this event in any other way.
During the workshop, students from different European universities get together in small intercultural
and multicompetence teams to develop an entrepreneurial ideas for the European Market.
All workshops are held outside the traditional school
environment at inspiring places to stimulate an openminded and creative thinking.
Throughout the week, the teamwork sessions are
inspired and complemented by diverse workshop
sessions which seek to foster
- creative thinking abilities
- team cooperation
- entrepreneurial thinking
- creative communication skills”
