Digital Factory and Process Industries & Drives | Manchester
Siemens are recruiting for an engineering apprentice within Digital
Factory & Process Industries and Drives business at our location in
Manchester. This role forms part of the Siemens' Industry Sector,
we are one of the world’s leading suppliers of innovative,
environmentally friendly products and solutions for industry
customers.
What do I need to qualify for this job?

GCSE A*-C grades (or equivalent) in Maths, English and
Science and/or IT

Two A Levels / A2: Grades A*-C or equivalent (one must be
in either Maths, Physics or Engineering)
What are my responsibilities?

This Higher Apprentice program lasts for approximately 4 years,
during which time you will gain the necessary skills to perform one
of a number of engineering roles. During your time as an
apprentice, you will work towards:

example a BTEC Level 3 certificate in Electrical/Electronic
Engineering with an overall merit or distinction would also be

The apprenticeship will be provided by our Digital Factory &
Process Industries and Drives (DF & PD) division. The programme
will allow you to experience work in a broad range of departments
and roles within Siemens DF &PD. The placements will be
arranged so that relevant knowledge has been built up, giving you
the experience necessary. The latter end of the programme is
where you will have an opportunity to choose a career direction
and as such have dedicated placements in your chosen field
leading to positions as project engineers, technical supports
engineers, sales engineers amongst the many possible roles.

manufacturing of technology products.

to customers are Industry Automation, Automation Systems,

Drives.
This apprenticeship scheme is recognised by the IMechE and the
IET and leads to professional registration at EngTech level of
accreditation with the Engineering Council.
