SPONSORSHIP GUIDELINES
of the integration section of the JUFF department for sponsoring the participation in German courses
OBJECTIVE OF THE SPONSORSHIP: simplifying the
integration into our society and the participation in the
social, economical and cultural life for migrants.
TARGET GROUPS: immigrants living in Tyrol permanently
and legally, who do not fall under the provisions of the
integration agreement. This sponsorship is particularly
aimed at women and youngsters, who have immigrated
before 1.1.1998. This excludes children and youngsters up
to the age of 15 years (required to attend school), asylum
seekers, students as well as au-pairs. Working persons can
be sponsored only in exceptional cases, since they basically
have the option of a sponsorship through the educational
grant of the state (update).
FIELDS OF SPONSORSHIP
 German courses for beginners (priority)
 Advanced German courses
 No specialisation courses
PREREQUISITES
 The class must be taken by a qualified teacher.
 The principal residence of the sponsorship seeker must
be located in Tyrol.
 The course must take place in Tyrol.
 Course attendance of at least 75% (attendance
certificate)
 No receipt of sponsorships through AMS [Public
Employment Service Austria], the Federal Government or
another state office
 A sponsorship for the participation in courses, which are
already fully sponsored from budget funds of the unit of
integration of the JUFF department, is ruled out.
VOLUME OF SPONSORSHIP: 50% of the course costs –
maximum € 2.30 are refunded per course unit. Applicants
with principal residence in Innsbruck are also
supported by the city of Innsbruck. This shall not require a
separate application – we shall forward the documents
directly.
I herewith declare that



The sponsorship from the state for this group is 45% of the
course costs (max. € 2.0). The sponsorship from the city of
Innsbruck is also 45%, so that the own contribution of the
course participant is only 10%.
FORMALITIES: the written application must be directed to
the JUFF department and must contain the following
details:
 Name, address, accessibility (telephone, e-mail) of the
person attending the course
 Bank connection, account number, name of the holder of
the account, which the sponsorship should be remitted to
 Declaration that one does not receive any sponsorship
from AMS, the Federal Government or another state
office (signature)
 Details about the course, for which sponsorship is
requested
In order to be informed about a possible sponsorship or its
amount in time, we recommend submitting the application
before the commencement of the course.
PROCESSING
1. Application of the sponsorship seeker
2. Letter of approval with specification of the sponsorship
amount
3. Submission of the payment confirmation (payment of the
participation fee) and, after completion of the course,
submission of the attendance certificate (with at least 75%
attendance)
4. Remittance of the sponsorship
DATA PROCESSING
Sponsorship seekers agree that the entire data required in
connection with the processing and ascertainment of the
prerequisites for a sponsorship shall be automatically
processed according to the data protection regulations.
LEGAL ENTITLEMENT
There shall be no legal entitlement to the award of a
sponsorship.
As of May 2014
my principal residence is located in Tyrol.
I do not receive any sponsorship from another public authority for attending this course (particularly the educational
grant of the state update or a sponsorship through AMS).
I am, at the time of attending the course, employed for less than 6 months.
I take note of the prerequisites for the granting of a sponsorship of the course costs and declare my consent to the automated
processing of my data.
I agree that the Tiroler Gebietskrankenkasse (Tyrolean regional medical insurance) may issue information about a possible employment
as well as the competent district administrative authority may issue information about whether I had to enter into an integration
agreement or not. In case of principal residence in Innsbruck: I agree that my documents shall be forwarded to the city of Innsbruck, so
that a sponsorship can be awarded from there too. There shall be no legal entitlement to the award of a sponsorship! Incorrect
information shall result in revocation of the sponsorship approval or reclaim of the grant amount!
Information about the “Tiroler Fördertransparenzgesetz” [Tyrolean Funding Transparency Act] I am aware that pursuant to
the Tyrolean Funding Transparency Act, Law Gazette no. 149/2012, the provincial government is obligated to annually inform the name
of the legal entity or the full name of the sponsorship recipient, the ZIP, as well as the type and amount of the sponsorship to the state
parliament and to publish the same on the state website in case of state sponsorships over an amount of € 2,000 per type of
sponsorship.
