Dear Contestant,
We are extremely excited that you have requested an application for the 2014 Miss Clayland
Scholarship Program to be held in Uhrichsville at Claymont High School, on Saturday, October 12,
2013.
In addition to the application information you will find on the Miss Ohio Website (Contestant
Contract and Application, Contestant Resume and Platform Information Sheets, the Rules and
Regulations for “No Show” Contestants and Competition Guidelines), you will also find the following
forms specific to the Miss Clayland Scholarship Program: Contestant Contract Addendum and
Community Service Essay (optional), talent introduction, talent CD and photo (for press
release). Photo may be sent electronically to martha.jane.campbell@gmail.com.
The Community Service Essay Award is judged by members of the community and the winner
will receive a $200 scholarship. This award is given in memory of volunteers and donors who have
given their support to the Miss Clayland Scholarship Program. This is optional for you.
As per our Contestant Contract Addendum, your application will be complete upon receipt of
the signed Contestant Contract and attachments (this includes proof of competition eligibility and a
copy of your birth certificate), Contestant Contract Addendum, Contestant No-Show Rules,
Contestant Platform Sheet, Contestant Application, Contestant Resume, talent introduction, talent CD
and a photograph. Please clearly mark your talent CD.
Miss Clayland 2014 will receive a minimum $1,000 Scholarship. The talent award winner and
the interview award winner will each receive a $200 Scholarship. Each non-finalist contestant will
receive a $150 scholarship.
Per our Contestant Contract Addendum, the first 12 completed applications will be accepted as
our contestants. Therefore, we recommend that you complete and return these forms as soon as
possible.
