INTRODUCTION
Reproductive health is a priority policy of human development, because health is directly
undermined by the unfavorable trend of climate change and the lack of attention to the issues
of reproductive health in the context of global warming.
From this point of view, the permanent presence of climate change issues into economic and
development strategies are a critical factor to accelerate the pace of sustainable development,
alleviate poverty, promote sustainable development and improve the quality of life of the
population in conditions of global warming, that are the basis of adaptation measures.
Kayumova D. A. on a large amount of factual material, ie, 19711 surveyed pregnant women and
mothers, identified the frequency of pathology of pregnant women, depending on the
temperature. Ms. Kayumova’s work is relevant not only for Tajikistan, but also for the CIS
countries, with the a high tendency of global warming.
Discovered pathology patterns of pregnant women affected by temperature and its threshold
allowed for developing recommendations to reduce morbidity and mortality among pregnant
women and young children in the context of climate change. This work can be called a pioneer
because it opened a new direction in the aspect of f reproductive health in a changing climate.
The results of the work are included in the "National Strategy and Action Plan for public health
adaptation of RT in a changing climate” in the " Strategic adaptation measures to improve
reproductive health " and Matrix of measures to improve the gestational process of women in
the face of climate change for the period 2011-2020 ", demonstrating the relevance of the
results obtained by the author.
The results contribute to the formation of a new direction in reproductive health, which is
important in the context of global warming. How to achieve meaningful results which are the
basis for the development of health strategies in the face of climate change and to prepare the
Third National Communication on Climate Change.
