NITTANY CHAPTER
STATE COLLEGE, PENNSYLVANIA
CALL TO THE 180th CONVENTION OF ALPHA DELTA PHI
The 180th Leadership Training Conference and Convention of The Alpha Delta Phi will
be held in State College, Pennsylvania, starting at 8:00 A.M., Friday, August 10, 2012,
and ending Sunday morning, August 12, 2012. Accommodations will be provided for
delegates starting Thursday evening, August 9th, and all delegates should arrive in State
College, Pennsylvania on that day. Checkout is 12:00 PM on Sunday.
Pursuant to Article VII of the Constitution, Supreme Legislative Power of the fraternity
is vested in the Convention, and the Convention has original jurisdiction over
constitutional questions and appellate jurisdiction over decisions of the Board of
Governors and chapters.
Each chapter shall designate one delegate and one alternate delegate who shall be
student brothers of the accrediting chapter. Each recognized alumni organization shall
also designate one alumnus delegate and one alternate delegate who shall be alumni
brothers but who need not have been student brothers of the accrediting organization's
chapter. Only delegates, or in their absence the alternate delegate, present in person,
may vote.

either U.S. or Canadian currency, and final payment is due by July 16, 2012.

The Registration Fee covers convention materials, Friday lunch and Friday evening
social event, Saturday lunch and the Saturday evening banquet. Additional tickets will
be available at registration desk for all activities.
LODGING
Alumni are responsible for payment of their own hotel rooms and should register
through the fraternity office by June 28, 2012. Your credit card number will be required
at time of registering with the office in order to get the preferred room rate. The
fraternity will pay for the housing on the undergraduate delegates only provided the
undergraduate registration fee is paid by the deadline.
TENTATIVE AGENDA
Chapter Presidents, Chapter Treasurers, Recruitment Chairs and Chapter Alumni
Organization Presidents are urged to attend the Leadership Training Conference and
Convention personally as the delegates of their respective bodies. The Credentials
Committee shall have authority to accredit all delegate credentials and set all expense
payments.

NON-DELEGATES MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE WITH THE
INTERNATIONAL HEADQUARTERS
Travel expenses are reimbursed after convention only for undergraduate delegates based
on the distance traveled. Apply to the Fraternity Headquarters for reimbursement by
providing travel plans. The request must arrive in the office by June 28, 2012 and
include a description of all travel details.
To be reimbursed, all air travel must be booked at least 30 days in advance. All efforts to
reduce travel by using the least expensive available transportation such as super saver,
excursion or other reduced air and/or train or bus fares should be made. When possible,
delegates should come by car and share expenses.
