Attendees:

Meeting began with a prayer
Minutes reviewed and approved by Bob Rafferty and Donna Foster

1. Treasurer’s Report: Ray Massia. Collected $9,000 from football
b. Field Hockey handed in their fees. Others need to.
c. Sizeable expenditures, scorer’s table, floor maintenance

Mark needs to ensure the Criminal History and background check for everyone
We will need another class scheduled- not sure who handles this.
There are some football coaches for which we had no information.
Bob Rafferty will handle that.
JV coaches need clearances.

Question raised...”What is happening with bathrooms?
Bob Rafferty will call Mike Duman (sp?) from Marple Newtown Facilities to find out
about bathrooms
6. Varsity Field Hockey: Donna Foster

Kathleen Meehan stated there are 28 girls, 4 squads
It’s going well
2-0 first scrimmage
O’Hara’s running a Play Day on Sunday
Uniforms might need to be placed on the list
7. JV Field Hockey: Kathy Kamper (Unable to attend meeting)
a. Mark McPeak reported that they lost first scrimmage 2-0
b. 3 squads
c. Equipment is fine.
8. Cross Country- Paul Sterns

There are 32 sub novices
Need more smaller uniforms
This year they will run with chips embedded in the bibs
$20 each was collected for a total of $1100
Service Project is going to be a clothing drive
The 16th is their first meet
Every Sunday at Belmont Plateau-6meets
Scholar Athlete plaque needs to be updated
2010 and 2011 Honorees need to be clarified

9. Volleyball – Ken Gasser
a. 15 players for varsity
b. 13 players for JV
c. Service Project – Breakfast bags
10. Varsity Soccer: Jules Kamper (unable to attend meeting)
a. Jim Racine stated there were two losses over the weekend
b. Played two best teams in the league
c. One injury-broken ankle
11. JV Soccer: Tom Farrell
a. 30 kids, 3 squads, looking great!
b. Two high school girls are helping with Soccer
12. Flag Football – Ken Lain
a. Currently 64 sign ups
b. Half of the money is collected
c. First Game is the weekend of the 22nd
13. Winter Athletic Director: Jennifer Mathes

There are three coach openings for basketball
October 17 is registration
Jen will send information to Margie to get it in Church Bulletin, CCD and Ebell

14. Cheerleading –Marisa Palermo
a. Sarah will be helping full-time
b. She will need clearances
15. Service Project – Tom Farrell
a. Nothing new to report
16. Spring Athletic Director: Mike Mattise –
a. Will email to find which coaches are coming back
b. Lacrosse is unknown still how it will play out in the fall
c. Mike contacted new CYO head and there are still many questions
17. Technology Report- Pat Reger
a. Will make updates to the web as needed.
