Arts Graduate Student Travel Awards (GSTs)
Funding is provided by the GREAT program of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, and by donor gifts.
A select number of GST applicants will be chosen to receive the McGill International Experience Award,
supported by Joseph Schull (BA ‘82, MA ’85) and Anna Yang (BCL , LLB ’88) to help students gain firsthand international
experience related to their fields of study. The award is meant to provide partial funding to assist students with travel and other
expenses related to the international experience.
The Arts Graduate Student Travel Awards are competitive awards designed to support graduate student travel by both MA and
PhD students for the purposes of research (archival research or field work) and the dissemination of research (conference
presentations). Each graduate student is eligible to receive up to $3000 in total awards over the course of his or her graduate
career at McGill. Please note that your application may be submitted in either French or English.

for conference travel.
You must apply for the award in advance of your travel.
You must be registered as a full-time graduate student in the Faculty of Arts at the times of application,
