RESOLUTION OF THE UNIVERSITY SENATE EXPRESSING APPRECIATION
FOR THE OUTSTANDING SERVICE OF DR. D. ROBERT MCGINNIS
AND
EXTENDING CONGRATULATIONS TO DR. D. ROBERT MCGINNIS ON THE
EVENT OF HIS RETIREMENT FROM AUBURN UNIVERSITY
WHEREAS, D. Robert McGinnis has served as Auburn University’s Vice President for
Development since 2002; and
WHEREAS, During his tenure as Vice President for Development, all Auburn fund
raising campaigns have succeeded far beyond expectations; and
WHEREAS, D. Robert McGinnis has played a key role in establishing a development
organization to effectively serve the future needs of Auburn University, and in so doing
earned national recognition as an outstanding University Development Officer; and
WHEREAS, D. Robert McGinnis has announced his retirement effective June 30, 2008;
now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the University Senate and its constituent groups gratefully
acknowledge the excellent service of D. Robert McGinnis to Auburn University and
extend warm wishes to him on the event of his retirement from Auburn University; and,
be it further
Resolved, That the University Senate commends the team assembled by D. Robert
McGinnis for their part in exceeding all expectations.
