*Reminder:
According to the KSU Bylaws (103) of IFC, “After the third time a Member chapter is absent
from an official IFC or Council of President’s meeting, then that chapter shall lose their voting rights in
IFC for the next meeting. After the fourth absence from a meeting, a fine of $200 shall be imposed on the
chapter. After the fifth absence the chapter shall be placed on social probation for the remainder of the
semester or a minimum of one month”

1.) Ashley Guenther – KSU Student Ambassador: 1 male and 1 female to be elected
during homecoming, start thinking and recommending some potential candidates.
2.) Nate Warren – Women’s Volleyball “Greek Night” September 23rd against Texas Tech
Wear your Greek letters! The house with the highest percentage in attendance will receive a $100

- National Hazing Prevention Week September 21-25.
- Daily Emails – will send out an email everyday of Hazing Prevention Week
- "Where Do You Draw The Line?" Posters
Community & Internal Relations: Lee Van Loenen (leev@ksu.edu)
- Submit Spring Service Hours, have received electronic files from Pike, Triangle, Beta
- Lee School – looking for part-time help, pays $7.25/hour. Would supervise during mornings
and lunch/playground time. Interested call Dr. Nancy Kole at (785)587-2052.
- B.I.G. Bring In the Greeks – Have started to organize, more info next meeting.
- Children’s Carnival, September 26th, Homecoming Pairings to run games for kids. Also, 8
volunteers are needed to run the bounce house. Your philanthropy chairmen need to contact
your homecoming paring this week to plan out the game of your choosing.
- Flint Hills Community Clinic – Need volunteers to help greet patients at the door. If
interested, call Meghan C Finnegan at (785)323-4351.
- ACS Night of Hope – Need volunteers to help run the event which is the Friday, September
18th, at the Houston Street Ballroom. Also, would like to have 3 or 4 volunteers to be
auctioned off to help raise money for the American Cancer Society. Would complete 2 to 3

Community and can see us live our organizational and community values through our daily
actions. With these values as our foundation, members will maintain membership in their
organization past the undergraduate experience and through their lifetime.

- Adopt-A-School – Deadline for area teachers is this Wednesday, will send out what is
available for students by Friday or next Monday. Will need to return what members have
chosen to help with by September 25th. Expect to have your members in the schools by
October 1st

- Homecoming is the week of October 18-24. This week is also Mid-Terms for the University,
so be sure to remind your members to plan ahead accordingly.
- I have still not received all the contact information for some of the fraternity homecoming
chairs. This information needs to be sent to me ASAP at jkelley@ksu.edu.
- There is a mandatory meeting for all homecoming chairs September 15 at 6:30 in the Alumni
Center.

- Upcoming Events/Pictures
o Anything you would like free publicity on, let Reed know and he can distribute
it through NewsGreek.
Recruitment: Andy Patton (apatton@ksu.edu)
- Mike Slaughter from Delta Tau Delta will be leading a recruitment workshop on Tuesday,
September 15 at 7 pm at FarmHouse. This will be a tremendous opportunity to learn, so
please be there. Especially encourage men who may be your future chapter leaders to attend.
- Some chapters have new men living in their house who are not registered on ICS. You need
to get your guys on ICS, because when they register they accept mandatory hazing and
grade-release agreements. Please get this done.

- All events with alcohol must be registered with IFC by Tuesday at 5pm. I will not be
accepting ANY late forms, there have been too many chapters taking advantage of my
leniency on this issue and it has become a problem. Please plan ahead and get your forms in
on time.

- Look forward to discussion surrounding the topic of “Out-of-House” members and how IFC
policies apply to all Greek members.

- Fire Safety Inspections: All inspections needed to be scheduled by Friday Sept. 11th. If you
have not done so already, please contact the MFD at 587-4504 and have the secretary set up a
time for the inspection.

the Union (Food Court area).
