West Bonner Library District
Friends of the Library Policy
The West Bonner Library District supports the Friends of the West Bonner Library District, Inc.
(Friends) as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to work with the library to
promote functions and resources, as well as advocate for quality services.
Current district policies and long range plan will be furnished to the Friends for their use.
The board and library director will make a wish list of items not covered by the library’s
operating budget available to the Friends.
To avoid any concerns of impropriety, no person will serve on the library board and the Friends
board concurrently.
The board of trustees and the library director will maintain open communication with the
Friends.
At least yearly, the library board will hold a joint meeting with the Friends officers to discuss
plans and mutual concerns.
