It is unavoidable that occasionally classes may clash, the Association cannot delay any
classes to wait for competitors,
it will up be to competitors to decide which class to participate in.

Championships at Driving Addington. The highest placed turnout, owned and driven,
by a member of the British Driving Society and eligible for the following type sections
disregarding those already qualified down to 6th place (10th place for type section (n)(q)) in the class, will qualify for the 2015 semi-finals. The Championship will
immediately follow the semi-finals.

exercise vehicle. Special: The Rokeles Lollypop Trophy presented by Mr
& Mrs M Fox to the highest placed Young Driver. See notes 4 and 5 below.
Special: Rosette to the highest placed Welsh breed.
Class 63
Ride & Drive. Driven Section. Any height horse or pony, driven to a
traditional or exercise vehicle. Special: Rosette to the highest placed Welsh
breed.
Class 64
Concours D’Elegance. Any height horse or pony, driven to a traditional or
exercise vehicle. Judged from a distance on the basis of preference for a
commissioned painting. Special: Rosette to the highest placed Welsh breed.
Class 65
Lady/Gentleman Whip. Any height horse or pony, driven to a traditional or
exercise vehicle. Judged to determine the capabilities of the driver and
particular attention will be paid to the driving procedure. Special: Rosette to
the highest placed Welsh breed.
Class 66
Private Driving. Any height horse or pony driven to a traditional vehicle.
Singles, pairs and tandems are eligible. Special: Rosette to the highest
placed Welsh breed.
This is a Victoria food Company Open Driving Championship qualifier. The
winner will qualify for the grand final to be held on Sunday 14th September at
the Hand Equestrian Centre, Clevedon, Somerset

DRIVING CHAMPIONSHIP – winners of all driving classes 60-69 to qualify

Notes:
Classes 60-67 are open to Welsh breeds and Non-Welsh breeds.
Classes 68 & 69 are registered Welsh only
1. All competitors must have third party public liability insurance, and this may
be inspected at any time during the show by the show organisers.
2. Horses and ponies entered in any class must be 4 years old or older.
3. A novice horse/pony is defined as a horse/pony that has not won a first prize
in any driven class prior to 1st January this year.
4. All Young drivers (junior whips) under the age of 18 years must be
accompanied in the turnout by an adult (over the age of 18 years) groom, who
themselves is a competent carriage driver. This applies not just to the show
ring but at all times on the show ground. Show organisers reserve the right to
ask for proof of age of the groom.
5. Young drivers under the age of 14 must wear a hard hat.
RULES
WELSH MEDAL CLASSES
The Welsh Medal Classes (i.e the Breed classes for Sections A, B, C & D In Hand )
are run under the WPCS rules governing medal awards. (A copy of these rules can
be seen on the WPCS website or with the secretary on the day of the show)
E.W.P & C.A RULES FOR SHOW
1. The organisers, nor any of the Show’s officers, servants or assistants shall
not in any way be responsible or accountable to exhibitors or assistants or
other members of the public, to any animal or property, to any vehicle brought
onto the showground, or on premises used in conjunction with the show, or
whilst entering or leaving the same.
2. Any animal not under control or in any way constituting a danger shall be
removed from the show ring or the showground at the request of the judge,
steward or chairman and will be disqualified.
3. Any accident must be reported to the show secretary immediately.
4. The organisers reserve the right to amend the judges panel if necessary and
to amalgamate or cancel classes if there are insufficient entries.
5. All Welsh entries (except for those in Driving in the classes) must be entered
in the Welsh Stud Book or Appendices of the Stud Book or Welsh Part Bred
register. FS1 & FS2 are eligible. FS are not eligible.
6. All first prize winners must compete for their respective championships
7. No manes or tails to be plaited expect in the Driving Classes & part bred
which is optional
8. Exhibitors are not permitted to enter any animal in any class which is to be
judged by a person who has had, or has any financial interest in the animal.
9. THE JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL.
10. Other than the starting time in each ring, all times are approximate
11. No entry fee will be returned under any circumstances
12. Stallions/Colts may not be led by any juniors who have not attained their 14th
birthday before 1st January in the current year.
No driver under the age of 16 years may drive a stallion either in the ring or
on the showground.
Riders of Section A & B Stallions must have attained their 12th birthday
Riders of Section C & D Stallionsmust have attained their 14th birthday
13. All dogs are to be kept on leads.
14. All foal must be 3 weeks of age or over on the day of the show.
15. Riders must wear hard hats at all times whilst mounted
16. No smoking in any buildings on the showground
17. Entrants to be responsible for the correctness of their entries regarding
names & registration numbers and for their eligibility.
18. Postal entries close on 26th May 2015 Entries can be taken on the day for all
classes except Welsh A,B,C & D In – Hand Medal classes.
19. Rosettes will be awarded to 6th place at the judges discretion
20. Only EWPCA members can take trophies, they must be signed for and a
£10.00 refundable deposit given before any can be taken from showground
21. All trophies taken must be returned in appropriate condition to the show
secretary one month prior to Summer Show then deposit will be refunded
22. Any member or exhibitor wishing to lodge a protest having reference to any
person or exhibit shall do so in writing to the secretary with a deposit of £15
which will be returned if the objection is sustained. All objections shall be
delivered within one hour of the incident.
