TUFTS UNIVERSITY TRUSTEE
Nomination Deadline: Tuesday, October 15, 2013.
Tufts University alumni have the privilege of electing members of the alumni body as Trustees to serve
on the Tufts University Board of Trustees. Trustees elected by alumni (Alumni Trustees) enjoy the
same rights, responsibilities, status and influence as Charter Trustees, who are appointed directly by the

GUIDELINES FOR ALUMNI TRUSTEE NOMINATIONS
1.
A graduate of any school within the University.
2.
A genuine commitment to Tufts and a willingness to serve. This includes willingness to serve on
one or more committees and to attend Board meetings and important ceremonial functions
such as Commencement.
3.
Demonstrated leadership in one's profession.
4.
A record of service to the University.
5.
A record of consistent financial support and a willingness to be generous to the University
within one's means.
6.
Willingness to serve the University as a whole, rather than a particular constituency.
7.
A sincere interest in higher education.
