Someone to Blame Theatre Project on 4th February (Item 6 from 25/11/10
Jane had finally heard from Ray’s agent in December that Ray was unable to take
this on due to other commitments. As reported at the September meeting, Theatre
503 in Battersea has given development space for a week which ends on Friday 4th
February when a rehearsed reading will take place there at 2 pm. The theatre has a
65 seat capacity. David referred to a meeting which had been held at Marge’s house
on 11th January to discuss the reading in more detail. Members from the theatre
industry such as venue owners, producers and production companies have been
invited to the reading as have many of those portrayed in the play. He has cast 17
actors. Wendy will book transport from Hoxton to Battersea for 30 people. Jane will
invite Keith, Jo and Fiona from the Hackney Citizen and try and trace Sophie and
Calum to invite them also. She undertook to send Sam a copy of the play.

Future Campaign Events
It was agreed that next month’s meeting would devote time to considering events.
Jane anticipated being approached by the Shoreditch Festival shortly. She would
check when the public liability insurance expired but to make the most of it we
should try to obtain a trader’s licence in the near future.

Jane explained that when she referred to the “cash account” this was to distinguish
it from the Treasurer’s Trust Account held at the bank. From this Jane sends cash
to Sam every month from the campaign so that he can buy some decent food. Pat
and those who helped her with the benefit at the Lion and Lamb were to be thanked
for their hard work and organisation: fundraising events of this sort make a real
difference, as can be seen from the above account.

8. Visits to Sam
Tommy had visited with Curtley. Dennis, Keely and Gemma had gone and Wendy
had had a very good family visit with Charlotte. Terry will be visiting soon.
