This form should be accompanied by a:
• Site plan (scale not less than 1/5000) showing roads, compass points, contours, trial holes if dug
and notes on character of ground, with particular reference to liability to subsidence, landfill or
flooding.
• Key plan (scale 1/2500) showing position of site, means of access, surrounding properties, source
of water supply and facilities for sewage disposal. Where land to be acquired is to be used in
conjunction with an existing school, the boundaries of the existing school site and playing fields
should be indicated on the key plan and the following information provided:

area of existing playing fields
• Copy of the District Valuer’s (DV) report* (and of the mineral valuer’s report, where appropriate).
* If the proposed acquisition will attract no grant aid from public funds, a DV report is not required.
If, however, the school or establishment is subject to the Charity Commissioner’s jurisdiction under
the Charities Act 1996, or is part of a land swap arrangement, a DV report is required.
