Organic Compounds Poster Project
Objective: To create an informational poster that describes the unique properties
of the organic compounds such as proteins, carbohydrates, lipids that contain
carbon and other elements such as hydrogen, oxygen, phosphorus, nitrogen, or
sulfur.
Include the following components:
 Select one of the following organic compounds to research: proteins,
carbohydrates, or lipids.
 Identify which elements are in your selected compound- carbon and…
 Provide at least 6 examples of your organic molecules.
 Give an explanation of why they are important to mankind.
You must have a title!
Your name and period must be placed on the back of your poster.
You may use the library, your textbook, class notes, etc. to assist you in your
research.
Be colorful and creative. Use pictures (from magazines) and drawings where
appropriate.
