Description
Review and improve Wentzel-VI multiple-scattering model (G4WentzelVIModel class), to
address recent issues identified by ATLAS for scattering of muons.
Comments
Comment by Vladimir Ivantchenko [ 07/May/12 ]
First seria of improvements have been implemented for 9.5ref03 and 9.5patch01. Mass
correction should be included for 9.5ref05
Comment by Vladimir Ivantchenko [ 11/Jun/12 ]
Corrections have been provided for 9.6beta. Validation is ongoing.
Comment by Vladimir Ivantchenko [ 25/Jun/12 ]
A separate model for hadron elastic scattering have been released with 9.6beta. Validation will
continue with summer student who already arrived in Q3.
Comment by Vladimir Ivantchenko [ 20/Sep/12 ]
Fix on single scattering part (wrong cross section at low-energy) was introduced and will be
available with ref-09, some further modification may be expected for ref-09 as well.
Comment by Vladimir Ivantchenko [ 20/Sep/12 ]
ATLAS peoples proumise to have results on new validation study using the reaction Z>mu+mu-.
Comment by Vladimir Ivantchenko [ 20/Sep/12 ]
Completed, in general, extra fixes (if any) may be applied after full validation of muons
scattering for ref-09.
Comment by Vladimir Ivantchenko [ 11/Oct/12 ]
ATLAS reported that updated version of WentzelVI model provides unbiased position and
shape of Z-boson in mu+mu- decay channel.
