Abstract:
This paper introduces the study of x-ray scattering cross section from
laser-generated plasma, which could be used as a new diagnostics
technology in inertial confinement fusion field. The results measured in
shengguangⅡ facility in Shanghai, are presented. The measurement of
scattering cross sections as a function of angel shows a clear peak, and
the position of the peak is same with the Riley’s results. The successful
measurement of scattering cross section shows that the technique has
potential as a probe of the laser-generated plasma.
