Admissions Agreement

Enrollment Eligibility: Children ages 2 years old until entrance to
Kindergarten are admitted to Planet Preschool. No child will be
refused enrollment because of gender, race, or religion, or that of
their parents.

Notice of change: Your contract remains in effect until we receive 4
weeks written notice of your intention to change or cancel your
contract. Upon written notice your last month’s tuition will be
applied for the proper amount of time towards your last month of
care.

Tuition and Fees: The first month's tuition, plus deposit of half the
month’s tuition (will be applied to last month’s tuition.) A one-time
non refundable enrollment fee of $115.00, with an annual Materials
fee of $50.00 is due upon enrollment. A 30 day’s notice will be
given for any modification of fees charged.

Transitions/ Change in Tuition: We have two transitions throughout
the year. They take place during approximately January and June,
depending on age and ability. Transitions do not take place solely
on age. Tuition drops in price from the Early Learners tuition to the
Preschool tuition when your child transitions to the Preschool
classroom (NOT when your child turns 3 and your child is still in the
Early Learners classroom).

Payment Due: Payment is due on or before the 1st day of the Month.
There is no credit given for holidays or days absent due to illness or
vacation.

Late Payments: Payments after the 5TH will be considered late and
will be charged a $50.00 late fee.

Checks are made payable to: PLANET PRESCHOOL

Returned Checks: Are subject to bank fee of $30.00. Returned
checks must be redeemed with cash or a cashier’s check within 24
hours of notification, or arrangements will be made and last months
tuition will be utilized and child will loose there enrollment at Planet
Preschool.

Holidays: Planet Preschool will be closed to observe major holidays.


Hours of Care: Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 6:00pm.

Late Pickups: It is important and necessary for you to pick up your
child/and or carpool on time. A child whose ride is late experiences
great anxiety and worries. We understand that emergencies
happen. If an emergency occurs, take time to give us a call. There
is a $5.00 charge and a $1.00 per child for each 1 minute when you
are late, which is due the following school day. After the 3rd
occurrence, there will be a $5.00 charge and a $5.00 per minute
late fee due the following school day. The family will be asked to
come in to discuss other options.

Sign in & Out: All children must be signed in and out daily with a full
signature of an authorized adult. When signing your child in, please
state who will be picking up your child if other than you. Your child
will not be released to anyone who is not on the emergency form
and with proper ID. No exceptions. Please do not leave a phone
message. We are not always able to pick up these messages right
away. The safety of your child is very important to us and is not
taken lightly and for granted.

Photography/videotaping: Photography and or video of the
children will be taken periodically by center staff and or parents
(during center events). Photos/ videotaping can be used for
classroom display purposes, website advertisement, etc.
What to bring:

Forms: In accordance with State Law, we must have the following
forms completed before attending Planet Preschool: all Planet
Preschool forms, CA Immunization Records and state licensing
forms. Please notify immediately if changes are made.

Extra Clothes: Please LABEL: shirt, pants, underpants, sock and
closed toe shoes, should be left in your child’s cubby. Please
replenish child’s clothes as needed according to child’s growth.

Rest/Nap Time Items: Your child will have an opportunity to rest
during their time at school. Please PROVIDE and LABEL a crib sheet,
a light blanket, and small pillow (if desired) for your child to
comfortably rest during this time. These items will remain at school
during the week. On Fridays, we ask that the parents take home
their child’s nap items to be laundered. Please bring a clean/fresh
set back on Monday morning.
More things to know:

Toilet Learning: Child must be toilet trained at time of admission.
We will help as much as possible when your child is physically and
emotionally adjusting to change and transition. Accidents will
happen so please bring full change of clothes. If your child is 2 years
old, potty training will take place in the classroom accompanied by
at home potty training.

Meals: We provide: breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. All
children will be given nutritious meals that are partially organic
consisting of children like foods: Vegetables, Grains, Pastas, Soups,
Fruit, Juice and Milk. Posted menus have more specific details.

Health Policy: We will not accept sick children. If your child
becomes ill, you will be contacted, and asked to pick up your child
as soon as possible (as per the illness policy in the parent
handbook.) If emergency medical care is required, 911 will be
called. Parents will be called first if possible. Parents are responsible
for any emergency service charges.

Medication Policy: We will give your child prescribed medicine only
under strictly controlled conditions and in original container. All
medication must be signed in on a “Medication Release form”.

Behavior Policy: Children have conflicts and when they do we try to
redirect their energy in a more positive way. If an unsafe behavior
continues, we will schedule parent conferences and may require
professional intervention. Our goal is to keep the environment safe
for all children.

Reasons for Termination: Planet Preschool reserves the right to
discontinue service to a family if financial commitments are not met
or if it becomes apparent that the program is not equipped to meet
the psychological or developmental needs of the child. Written
notification will be given to the parents to allow for ample time to
find alternative care. The staff/director will make every effort to
resolve any problems prior to termination. Documentation will be
provided upon request prior to suspension or termination. Parents
and children are given advance notification when suspension will
take place based on child's behavior. If child threatens the well
being of another child, immediate suspension will be necessary.
Last month deposit is refundable depending on circumstances of
suspension.

Rights of the licensing agency: (CCR, Title22, Section 101200)
The state of California General Licensing Requirements, SECTION
101195 states: The Department or licensing agency shall have the
authority to interview children or staff and to inspect and audit child
or facility records without prior consent. The licensee shall make
provisions for private interviews with any children or any staff
member for the examination of all records relating to the operation
of the facility. The licensing agency shall have the authority to
observe the physical conditions, which indicate abuse, neglect, or
inappropriate placement, and to have a licensed medical
professional examine the child(ren).
