Dear Parent or Guardian,
Communities In Schools is pleased to announce that we are continuing to offer
exciting after-school opportunities for students in 7th and 8th grade. Your child is
invited to participate in our 21st Century After-School Centers on Education
(A.C.E.) program.
The focus of the program is to improve students’ academic success.
21st
Century A.C.E. will utilize a team of professionals working together to provide
academic assistance, enrichment, supportive guidance, college and workforce
awareness, and parental involvement. We will support the student’s positive
growth and achievement by addressing individual needs in a caring,
personalized, holistic, and accountable manner.
During the school year, from the time of class dismissal until 6:15 pm., your child
will participate in academic and enrichment activities. This may include tutoring,
mentoring, homework groups, technology activities, fine arts, music, drama,
chess club, dance, sewing, cooking and recreational activities.
We believe that your child will benefit from involvement in our A.C.E. program.
All services are provided at NO COST to the children and their families who are
enrolled in the A.C.E. program. Bus transportation may be available and will be
determined by the parameters of the after-school bus route.
After I receive the completed attached forms, you will be contacted by a 21st
A.C.E. staff member to discuss your child’s individual needs and potential
enrollment in our program. If your child is enrolled, we look for a commitment
from you that your child will attend a minimum of 30 days and will follow
program rules.
Please feel free to call or contact me at 281- 451- 4899 if you have any questions
or concerns.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Hagan
