I understand that:
 AP courses are rigorous and are based
on college-level curriculum.
 I am expected to complete all summer
assignments (disseminated in June;
available on Fusion thereafter). If I do
not submit them on time (usually Aug.
1; some deadlines vary), I must drop
the course.
 If I drop the course after the summer
assignment deadline, there may not be
a corresponding course option with
open space.
 I am expected to maintain enrollment
in all of my AP courses for the entire
school year.
 I am required to take the end-ofcourse Advanced Placement exam in
order to receive weighted credit for
the course.
 The cost of each AP exam will be
approximately $90 (this varies every
year).
 The deadline for payment for each AP
exam is October 21, 2011. Payment
plans are available upon request.
 I am expected to be present to take
each AP exam on the day it is offered.
 If payment is not made or payment
plan is not put in place by October 21,
2011, my course credit status will be
changed to unweighted.

I understand that:
 DE courses are rigorous, collegelevel courses.
 I am expected to maintain
enrollment in DE English for the
entire school year. I understand
that failure to complete BOTH
semesters of DE English will
result in failure to meet the state
English 12 requirement for
graduation. If I earn less than a
“C” in DE English 111 (first
semester), I understand that I will
be placed in a regular English
class in order to meet graduation
requirements.
 In order to take the second
semester of any DE course, I
must complete the first semester
with a minimum grade of “C” in
order to continue in the course
for the second semester.
 The cost of tuition for each DE
course ranges from
approximately $85-$115 per
semester (this varies every year).
 The deadline for payment of DE
tuition is October 21, 2011.
