DENNIS CALLAS HONORS PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
SUNY Delhi’s Honors Program offers competitive scholarships available to those students currently
enrolled in its Associate Degree Honors Program or Bachelor Degree Honors Program. Students must be
in good judicial standing and must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3. Presidential Scholars
are not eligible to apply. Scholarships will range between $1000 and $2500. Priority will be given to
those students who have successfully completed honors seminars, but this is not a requirement for
applying.
If a student is awarded a Dennis Callas Honors Program Scholarship, they are required to be enrolled in
an honors seminar during the semester they receive the award. If the student does not register for an
honors seminar, the award will be rescinded.
In order to apply, students must:
 Obtain two letters of references from faculty or staff members of SUNY Delhi, one of which
must be from a faculty member.
 Write a 250-500 word essay answering the question: “What will you do to foster the learning
environment on campus next semester?”
 Provide a copy of your unofficial transcript printed out from Bronco Web.
 Fill out the form below.
These materials are due by noon, November 22nd to:
Alissa Burger, Honors Program Advisory Committee
708 Evenden Tower
SUNY Delhi
454 Delhi Drive
Delhi, NY 13753
Scholarship decisions will be announced by the end of the fall semester, with offer contingent upon fall
semester final grades. Should you have any questions, please send an e-mail to
