ENROLLMENT CONTRACT

Reenrollment of returning students should be completed online on or before Thursday, February 28, 2013.
Enrollment of new students should be completed online within ten days of the date of their acceptance
notification. The parent or guardian should sign electronically this agreement and then make an online payment
of a non-refundable deposit of $1000 that will be credited to the student’s account. Students receiving needbased financial aid will note that their deposit amounts have been adjusted accordingly.
In consideration of the acceptance of this reservation and deposit by Girls Preparatory School, the undersigned
agrees to pay the required tuition and fees. The tuition charge of $21,240 includes lunch. Applicable fees,
including a $150 Senior Fee, will be billed separately. I understand that my obligation to pay the charges for the
full academic year is unconditional and that no portion of such charges paid or outstanding will be refunded or
cancelled notwithstanding the subsequent absence, withdrawal, or dismissal from the school of the above student.
In view of this obligation, I understand that the option to participate in the Tuition Refund Plan is being made
available to me at this time to protect my yearly financial obligation under the terms of this Enrollment Contract.
This program will give me an opportunity to insure tuition (prepaid and due) in the event of separation according
to this policy. I have read the enclosed brochure and letter concerning this Plan. I understand that, if I choose to
enroll in the plan, GPS will bill me for the cost of the premium. The premium rate will be 1.25% of the annual
tuition. Adjustments for Financial Aid will be made accordingly. I authorize GPS to collect any claim payment
to which I am entitled under the Tuition Refund Plan and credit it to my account, paying any excess to me. I
agree to pay GPS whatever balance remains unpaid after any payment by the Plan is credited to my account. No
refunds for the Tuition Refund Plan fee will be made after August 31, 2013. If I choose not to participate in the
Tuition Refund Plan, I understand that no refund or cancellation of the yearly tuition will be made by GPS for
absence, withdrawal, or dismissal before the end of the school year and herewith agree to assume full
responsibility for the full annual tuition. Please check the appropriate box on the enrollment form.
All GPS tuition and incidental billing will be processed through our third-party tuition management service,
FACTS Management Company. I understand that I will receive an e-mail inviting me to access my initial invoice
for the 2013-2014 school year in May. I will be required either to pay in full or to set up a budgeted payment plan
with FACTS online by August 1, 2013. My daughter will not be considered eligible for class scheduling until
either I have paid my account in full, or I have established a payment plan with FACTS. Several payment plans
are available through FACTS, including lump sum payments and monthly plans. The monthly payment options
will not be subject to a finance charge, but there will be a $300 fee in lieu of interest built into my automatic
drafts at the time of enrollment.
Incidental charges will be billed separately each month. All balances not paid by the due date will be subject to a
late fee of $15 each month the account balance remains unpaid. There is no minimum balance exempt from a late
fee. Late fees will automatically be charged after the first of each month.
I understand the policy of the school that no student’s grades and transcripts will be released unless her account
has been paid in full. In the event this note or any part hereof is collected by or through an attorney at law or a
collection agency, maker agrees to pay all costs of collection, including but not limited to reasonable attorney’s
fees, collection agency fees and court costs.
I agree to accept and abide by the rules, regulations, and policies of the school including but not limited to those
published in The Blue Book as amended for the stated academic year. Every GPS student is expected to abide by
the rules of the school. Each girl’s conduct and attitude should be, at all times, a credit to the school and to all
GPS students. The school reserves the right to dismiss a student at any time for non-compliance with any or all of
the rules, regulations, and policies of the school.
It is further agreed that enrollment, as specified within this Enrollment Contract, may be cancelled in writing,
without penalty (except forfeit of the deposit) prior to July 1. If enrollment is cancelled after July 1, parents or
guardians financially responsible for the student are obligated to pay the full annual charges. By signing this
contract, parents give permission to GPS to use photographs and videos of their daughters in its marketing,
promotional, and advertising programs. Also, my daughter has my permission to attend GPS-sponsored activities
and events held off campus, such as retreats and field trips, and to ride in GPS-provided transportation to these
events.
Additionally, it is agreed that GPS shall not be responsible for loss or damage to property belonging to students,
but every reasonable attempt will be made to safeguard student property.
This contract is effective and binding for the 2013-14 school year only upon successful completion of the 2012-13
school year.
GPS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in any of its
practices or procedures.
