Requirements for Graduation
Graduation requirements: Passing grades are required by eighth grade students in order to receive
their diploma. If a student’s overall grades for the year reflect two or more F’s in the core subjects
(math, spelling/vocabulary, English, literature, religion, social studies, science) he/she will not graduate.
The student will receive a “Certificate of Attendance”.
If a student does not meet the requirements for graduation, the student will not be eligible to
attend the Disneyland trip nor participate in any of the graduation activities including the
graduation ceremony.
To avoid such an unfortunate situation, parents are advised to:
 Check “Gradelink” regularly
 Review student’s homework
 Speak to all teachers periodically to check the status of the student
As the eighth grade teacher, I will:
 Update “Gradelink” regularly
 Communicate with parents regarding academic/behavior issues
 Be available after school for assistance to students and/or parents
Parents/Students,

Hyacinth Academy a fruitful and memorable one. I truly believe that every student can meet these
