1. The obligation concerning payment for studies relates to a semester as defined in the
Regulation on academic year organization. Students who do not attend didactic classes
in the period when they enjoy full rights as students are NOT exempted from an
obligation to make payments.
2. Students of I and II years may pay their tuition fees in the following way:
a. Tuition fee is payable in 10 installments. Payments are made from September to June
b. Tuition fee may be paid in 12 installments. In such case, payments are made from
September to August.
c. Annual tuition fee may be paid as one annual payment or in form of two semester
payments.
d. Monthly payments shall be payable before the 10th day of each month for this month.
e. Payments for longer periods of time (semesters, year) should be made before the 10 th
day of the first month of the period for which the payment is made.
f. The date of payment is the date when WSB-NLU bank account is credited. After the
deadline, statutory interest will be calculated for each day of delay. Payments are
registered on the account on the next working day after they have been credited to this
account.
3. Students of III and higher years pay their tuition in the following way:
a. Students of full-time studies pay their tuition fees in form of 9 installments. Payments
are to be made from October to June.
b. Students of part time studies pay their tuition fees in 10 installments. Payments are to
be made from October to July.
c. Annual tuition fee may be paid as one annual payment or as two semester payments.
d. Monthly payments shall be payable before the 10th day of each month for this month.
After this date, statutory interest is calculated for each day of delay. The date of
payment is the date when WSB-NLU bank account is credited. After the deadline,
statutory interest will be calculated for each day of delay. Payments are registered on
the account on the next working day after they have been credited to this account.
e. Payments for longer periods of time (semesters, year) should be made before the 10 th
day of the first month of the period for which the payment is made. After this date,
statutory interest is calculated for each day of delay. The date of payment is the date
when WSB-NLU bank account is credited. After the deadline, statutory interest will
be calculated for each day of delay. Payments are registered on the account on the next
working day after they have been credited to this account.
4. When settling payments related to the didactic process, regardless of the student’s
declaration, we apply the principle of using payments made to settle the oldest
financial dues.
5. When enrolling, a student chooses which tuition fee payment form will be used. The
decision on the choice of a payment method is valid through the whole period of
studies,
6. Decisions concerning postponing the payment or cancelling tuition fees for studies are
to be made by the Chancellor, based on opinions of relevant Deputy Dean. The
Chancellor also decides whether to send students’ dues to a debt collection agency.
7. Avoiding the obligation to pay dues a student has towards WSN-NLU regularly within
the specified date results in limitations to the student’s rights, especially the right to
participate in classes, to pass the subjects, to use the library, access to WSB-NLU
intranet, obtaining certificates, etc., including the deletion of the student’s name from
the list of students.
8. In case of arrears at the end of a semester, the Dean, following the request by the
Chancellor, may decide to delete the student’s name from the list of students. Each
time the deleted student’s name is entered again onto the list of students, a student is
obliged to pay the reactivation fee of PLN 300.00. In justified cases, the Chancellor
may decide to reduce the above-mentioned fee.
9. A student who wishes to change the field or mode of studies is obliged to pay the
administration fee of PLN 300.00
10. Students make additional payments for additional classes.
a. An hourly rate constituting the basis for some of the payments listed below is: PLN 10
per hour (1st degree studies), PLN 15 per hour (2nd degree studies and studies in
English and in Russian)
b. Payment for the course realized in an IOS formula should be consistent with the
hourly rate for repeated year of studies multiplied by the number of didactic hours of a
given course. If the necessity of realizing the course in such formula was not the
student’s fault, the payment may be cancelled or decreased. The decision is made by
the Chancellor, following the relevant Deputy Dean’s request.
c. Payment for an additional or repeated specialization course should be consistent with
the hourly rate.
d. Payment for additional language exams (placement exams) is PLN 100.00
e. Additional payment for repeated enrollment on a seminar is PLN 1200.00. If the
change of the thesis supervisor is independent of the student, the Chancellor may
cancel or decrease the amount to be paid.
f. In case of repeating the whole course, payments are determined as in case of
repeating the year (see point 11).
11. In case of repeating the year, a student pays the tuition fee in the amount of at least
25% of annual tuition fee plus makes payments for repeated courses from the program
of studies, calculated at an hourly rate. The payment for repeated courses is payable in
monthly installments (in line with the payment system chosen by the student) and in
the period (semester) when a given course is taught, together with relevant tuition fee.
If the value of payments for repeated courses exceeds the value of tuition fee for a
given year and field of studies, a student pays only the full amount of tuition fee.
In case of repeating the course which is no longer in the current program of studies,
the amount of payment is calculated by a relevant Dean, who takes into account the
hourly rates mentioned in point 10a above.
12. Payments related to not meeting the deadline for submitting diploma papers
established in the Rules and Regulations for Studies at WSB0NLU.
When a student does not submit the diploma paper within the deadline established in §
25 section 5 of the Rules and Regulations for Studies, such a student, who was sent by
a relevant Dean to repeat the year within the current edition of studies in the next
semester, is obliged to pay the fee constituting 50% of standard tuition fee, payable
monthly, starting from the first month of a given semester to the month the paper is
submitted, including such month.
13. Students whose names are deleted from the list of students or who resign from studies
during the semester, are obliged to pay tuition fees for the period until the end of a
given semester. People who buy the courses individually are obliged to settle their
contractual payments.
14. For students starting their studies in 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 academic years, the fee
for a diploma seminar (finishing with admission to a diploma examination) is PLN

at the Dean’s Office or take advantage of an offer prepared by an insurance company through
the University. There is also a possibility of taking out an insurance policy by part-time
students. All formalities related to insurance are dealt with along with the admission for the 1st
semester of an academic year. The insurance premium must be paid before 30th October.
V. DISCOUNTS IN TUITION FEES
Following a documented application to the Chancellor through the Dean’s Office, discount in
tuition fees is granted to the following students:
1. Students of full-time and part-time programs of studies (1st and 2nd degree), whose
siblings, spouse or parents/children also study at WSB-NLU in one of the abovementioned fields of studies. The first person pays the full tuition while, whereas the
next person is granted a discount of 10% in tuition fees.
2. Children of WSB-NLU graduates are also granted a 10% discount in tuition fees.
3. Pupils of Bolesław Chrobry Academic High School in Nowy Sącz receive a 10%
reduction in tuition fees.

of studies are entitled to a 50% discount off the fees in a cheaper field or specialization
of studies.

university belonging to FUTURUS consortium and continue their 2nd degree studies
at WSB-NLU are entitled to a 10% discount.
7. The recruitment fee for graduates of universities belonging to FUTURUS consortium
is PLN 0.00
8. WSB-NLU students recruiting candidates for studies receive a discount of 5% off the
annual tuition fee (in form of a voucher) for each recruited person. The discount is
applied at the moment when a newly-recruited person signs an agreement with the
University, except for the provision of section 9 below. The discount is not granted to
persons and institutions which signed recruitment agreements with WSB-NLU as well
as agreements to run OKNO programs.
9. The recruited persons mentioned in section 8 above, the recruitment of whom entitles
students to receive a discount, cannot be WSB-NLU students or graduates.
10. The discount is not granted or, alternatively, is suspended in case of giving up studies,
taking a leave or repeating a year. For the same reasons the already granted discount
may be withdrawn. The decision on this is made by the Chancellor, following the
Deputy Dean’s request.
11. Discounts are calculated on due amount of tuition fees and settled proportionally along
with consecutive tuition fees so that each installment of tuition fees is proportionally
decreased by the percentage value of a discount granted to a student.
12. Applications for discounts should be submitted to the Dean’s Office not later than 30th
November of a particular academic year. After this deadline, applications will not be
accepted and the person will not be entitled to a discount for that academic year. The
deadline of 30th November does not concern students recruited after that date. Students
admitted after 30th November are entitled to obtain the above discount starting from
the month following the month in which they filed an application.
