SECOND BACHELOR'S DEGREE
2012 and prior catalogs
All students who hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited
institution of higher education, including the University of Memphis, may
earn another bachelor’s degree with a different title.
To earn the second bachelor’s degree, the student must:
1.
Complete any additional college requirements as determined by the
office of the dean of the college granting the second baccalaureate
degree.
College of Arts and Sciences additional requirements:
For the B.A. degree:
Foreign Language requirement (6-12 hours)
Fine Arts (3 hours)
Upper Division Humanities (3 hours)
Social Science (3 hours)
Math/Natural Science (3-4 hours)
For the B.S. degree:
Upper Division Humanities (3 hours)
Social Science (3 hours)
Math/Natural Science (3-4 hours)

Complete all requirements for the major as determined by the
department in which the second baccalaureate degree is sought.
3.
Complete a minimum of 30 semester hours in residence.
4.
Earn a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 and a
minimum GPA of 2.0 in all coursework taken at the University of
Memphis.

Art History, English, Foreign Languages, History, Philosophy.
Math/Natural Science (3-4 hours)
