RULES AND REGULATIONS – CAREER AND TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT
1. Students will not be permitted to use personal vehicles for transportation to school
functions.
2. If students are permitted a break during a three-hour shop class or a two-hour
shop class, the teacher is responsible for the conduct of these students.
3. No student must interfere with another class during a break.
4. All students must take a break at certain times. (teacher option)
5. Students are not permitted in the teacher workroom/lounge for any reason.
6. All personnel are responsible for checking restrooms.
7. All area students must have a valid parking sticker.
8. Students are not allowed to drive school vehicles at any time.
9. Students are not permitted in any shop area without supervision.
10. No students are permitted in the main building during a break.
11. Students are not permitted to use the career and technology office telephone or
your office phone.
12. Card, domino, computer games, etc., are not permitted at any time.
13. Non-educational VCR related material will not be viewed by students at any time.
14. Students may not use or possess tobacco products on campus or at any school
function.
15. Teachers must keep an accurate record of all absentees, tardies, and grades.
16. Adequate lesson preparation should be prepared in advance due to absenteeism
from your duties.
17. Travel forms must be submitted on or before the 5th of each month.
18. All paper work must be turned in on time as specified by the administration.
19. All programs are expected to have student participation in youth leadership
programs.
20. All teachers and students are responsible for keeping room and equipment in an
orderly manner.
21. The covered area must be kept clean at all times.
22. All building damage must be reported to the Career and Technology
Administrator.
23. Teachers should lock their facilities when leaving.
24. Teachers should take all precautions against danger of fire.
25. Students attending meetings, field trips, etc., must have a signed permission slip
from a parent or legal guardian. Field Trip Requests area available in the Career
and Technology office and on the Web-site.
26. All school personnel must have a valid parking sticker.
27. All students will be dismissed by bells only. (Teachers are not permitted to
release students early for any reason.)
28. All personnel must arrive by 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. (no exceptions)
29. All personnel must sign out when leaving campus for any reason.
30. Each Career and Technology Instructor must submit a before and/or after school
tutoring schedule (post in your room).
31. Students will not be permitted to leave and return to campus during the school
day.
32. All faculty members must dress professionally. (Blue jeans/work clothes are
permitted for shop instructors.)
33. All drive thru/walk thru gates will be locked during the school day.
34. Area students arriving by bus will be required to load and unload at north
entrance.
35. Teachers are required to monitor halls between classes.
36. All telephone messages will be placed in teacher boxes.
37. Front office and C/T boxes must be checked before and after school and during
lunch or conference period.
38. The Career and Technology Administrtor must approve all guest speakers.
39. Visitors/customers will be required to report to main office.
40. All Career and Technology Teachers are required to review discipline
management plan and student handbook.
41. Students are not allowed to leave class to use the telephone.
42. Student Excursion Forms must be completed on each student.
