Dear Parents,
We have been learning about plants in Science. At the
end of this unit, the students will be designing and
creating their own terrariums.
We will be spending some time researching on the
internet about terrariums. Students will make jot notes
about how to make their own terrarium. They will also
create a plan for how they would like to set their
terrarium up.
A plant and soil will be provided for each student.
Students have been asked to discuss with you what would
make a good container for their own terrarium. As well, I
have posted a picture of possible container choices on our
website. The container should have a lid. If possible,
please send a clear container to school with your child by
the week of October 27th. If you do not have an
appropriate container at this time, I will have extra
available here at the school. Please feel free to contact
