REUNION
Subject: Brown University Class of 75 – Reunion Weekend
Dear Brown ’75 Classmate,
We hope you are planning to attend our 35 th Reunion Weekend on Friday, May 28 to
Sunday, May 30, 2010. Whether you have faithfully attended every reunion or you have
never been back to campus since 1975 (or, like most of us, you fall somewhere in
between), this is the reunion NOT to miss: Our committee is busy planning an unforgettable
35th reunion for our class.
Here are a few highlights: Welcome Reception Friday afternoon in Art Lounge
(Harkness House), our class headquarters; Class Dinner in Sayles Hall and Campus
Dance on Friday Night; Saturday Breakfast in Smith-Buonanno Lobby on Pembroke
Campus, Class Lunch, Meeting and Seminar on Pembroke Field; Class Dinner on
Lincoln Field on Saturday; Commencement March down College Hill on Sunday.
Make your travel plans now! Hotel rooms are already in short supply, but there
will always be on campus housing where you will have the chance to relive (!) your
college experience. Details will be included with your registration packets in the
spring.
We’re in an electronic age now! With the exception of reunion registration materials, all
communication with our class will be handled electronically (email and class Web site). We
need your help to get as many classmates as we can to attend our 35th reunion:
Call your friends to encourage them to attend our 35th reunion.
Check out our class Web site at insert link for class website
We will use our class Web site to post updates about reunion activities, people
working on the committee and, later on, an attendance list.
If you haven’t joined our Facebook group, please take the time to join now at insert
link for class Facebook page
Update your email address and find out the latest reunion information at

The Class of 1975 35th Reunion Gift Committee is hard at work raising money for our class
gift. We have set a goal of raising $1.5 million for the Brown Annual Fund, with participation
from 50% of the class. As of December 31, 2009, a total of $728,462 in cash and pledges
has been raised, with a 24.5% participation rate.
If you’ve already made your gift, thank you! If you haven’t done so, please consider making
your Annual Fund gift online at: https://gifts.development.brown.edu/Brown/
Watch your mail in early March for reunion registration information.
We are all looking forward to seeing you in May!

CLASS NEWS & DUES
Subject: Class of 1991 - News & Dues
Dear Classmates,
We send warm greetings on behalf of your Class of 1991 Officers.
As Class Officers, we are responsible for arranging class communications and activities that
build camaraderie and offer opportunities to reconnect with classmates. We also encourage
you to help keep our Class’ treasury fiscally sound, enabling us to support Class activities
and keep reunions affordable.
Please save the date for our 20th Reunion: May 27-29, 2011
Our dues remain at a suggested level of $35.00, but any amount is accepted— higher or
lower. Dues can now be paid online at: insert class specific link for dues form or via a check
payable to the Brown University Class of 1991 and mailed to:
Class Programs, Brown University, Box 1859, Providence, RI 02912.
Please note the difference between Class Dues and gifts made to the Brown Annual Fund.
Class Dues specifically support the activities of our Class, whereas gifts to the Annual Fund
are used to address the needs of the University and have a direct and immediate benefit to
current students and faculty. Please consider paying your Class Dues as well as supporting
the University through the Brown Annual Fund.
We want to hear from you! Email us updates to insert e-mail address of class contact so we
can post it on our Class Web site: insert class website link and don’t forget to catch up with
classmates on our Brown Class of 1991 Facebook page insert link for class Facebook page.
We will be updating all class news postings, events and class activities on both so check
them out often.

CLASS DUES REMINDER
Subject: Happy Holidays Class of 1988
Happy Holidays to all of you!!!!
As 2009 winds down, preparation for our 25th Reunion inches closer and closer every day.
2009 brought some great enhancements to our ability to stay in contact with each other and
participate in making our class thrive. Among these are the numerous ways to
communicate via Facebook and the Brown Alumni Class Sites. We also rolled out the ability
to pay class dues on-line which will be promoted periodically throughout the year. As Mike
McGarry said last time....$25 for our 25th is a modest yet effective way to reach our goal
and bring back events like the lobster fest and Katrina.
So from all the Class of 1988 Officers....HAPPY HOLIDAYS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

CLASS EVENT
Subject: Brown Classes of the 80s Get Together: Oct. 3
Join us for the Classes of the '80s Get Together after the Homecoming Game!
Saturday, October 3, 2009
3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Complimentary Appetizers & Cash Bar

Come reminisce with your fellow Brown '80s classmates about the days when…
Pluto was still a planet
Planet Claire was a song
And our hero was a Skywalker, not a Potter.
Come hoist a glass to the days when…
We typed with 10 fingers instead of 2 thumbs
Thongs were something we wore on our feet
And The-Artist-Formerly-Known-As-Prince WAS Prince.
Come recall the halcyon time when…
Keeney Quad was still West Quad
We checked out classmates on the Pig Book, not FaceBook
And we caught Talking Heads in concert, rather than on CNN
The days when we moonwalked to our own beat…
And left our cares behind at Silver Truck, Avon Cinema and a bar named “Spats”…where
everyone knew our name.
