Student Achievement in Rocklin District Schools:
Truth = Improvement in Test Scores
Rocklin students have never achieved higher. The Rocklin School
District is the 2nd highest scoring unified school district in the entire
Sacramento Valley region. More high school graduates than ever are
going to college – 90% from the 2006 graduating class. Rocklin High
School and Whitney High School are the 1st and 2nd highest scoring high
schools in Placer County, respectively.
Across all grade levels and subjects, students are scoring higher than
ever. The graphs and charts below show the success of students and
how they outperform students county- and state-wide:

Other Facts About Rocklin Schools.
Test scores at Rocklin schools have steadily increased in recent years.
The average API score is up 45 points and all schools for the first time
were over 800 in 2006. One elementary school, Valley View, eclipsed
900. For example, an average of 67 percent of students are proficient or
advanced in English/Language arts in Grades 2-7 now, compared to 58
percent just two years ago.
Rocklin District schools have an average rank of nearly 9 out of 10
statewide according to the California Department of Education.
