Position Title: Admissions Director
Reports to: President and Principal
Position Summary: Communicates the St. Croix brand of education to prospective students and
families serving as the primary outreach person in regards to growing the association,
community, and international constituency. Utilizes and seeks direction from the Principal for
association and community recruitment and the President for international recruitment. Is
supported by the Technical Support Secretary, Admissions Counselor, and Admissions
Associate.
Position Description:
Recruit Association and WELS/ELS Students
* Develop fall recruitment theme with K-8 visits to association/WELS/ELS school.
* Organize the Kick, Pass, & Spike competition for Homecoming.
* Encourage current St. Croix students to volunteer at their church/school on the afternoon of
Crusader for a Day.
* Develop mailing to second grade teachers with materials for a school introduction.
* Organize Performance Day (PK-3), Guest Teachers (4-6), and Friendship Day (7).
* Regular communication with teachers, pastors and lay leaders.
Recruit Community Students
* Present to the eighth grade of local community Christian schools.
* Utilize database mailings, calling, e-mail/electronic outreach and visits to encourage school
tours and shadowing and attendance at St. Croix events like the Kick, Pass, & Spike, Meet the
Principal, Crusader for a Day, Performance Day, Sports Nights, Friendship Day, and Summer
Camps.
* Be an active and contributing member to the youth ministry leader groups of Crossover (WSP)
and South of the River (Eagan, Apple Valley).
* Visit community churches and communicate regularly about relevant topics and opportunities.
Encourage school visits and involvement from local Christian leaders.
Recruit International Students and Coordinate their Services.
* Develop international recruitment plan including strategic country visits, regular written
communication, on-line partnerships, and agency/school introductions/visits.
* Oversea legal, contract, cash flow, and branding issues.
* Maintain non-Chinese speaking countries and develop new educational markets.
* Review and decide on applicants, provide scholarships in a manner that encourages diversity
and rewards quality students.
* Oversea communication and service to international families.
Update the St. Croix brand, image, and stories.
* Develop and communicate stories that embody the St. Croix student and experience.
* Encourage word of mouth through guerilla marketing that includes writing and distributing
printed and electronic articles, strategically using t-shirts and giveaways, and on-line outreach.
* Work with the Communications Director and Principal to develop key messages and carry out
a marketing plan including printed advertisements, billboards, and information kiosks at relevant
events and venues.
* Assist in maintaining the school image including web site, photographic, and audio/visual
reviews and updates.
