October 1997 - Present: Part-time Staff Nurse on Dulles 6.
Responsible for providing holistic nursing care to patients
with traumatic injuries, as well as patients undergoing
various surgical procedures. Also act as a mentor and
resource for new staff, and occasionally assume charge
nurse responsibilities. (currently working 3-4 days
a month)
September 1996 - July 1997: Multidisciplinary Team member on
the Patient Care Reengineering Team worked in collaboration
with many other hospital employees as well as Deloitte and
Touche Consultants.
June 1993 - September 1996: Assistant Nurse Manager on
Silverstein 12 and Silverstein 8 Responsibilities
included interviewing, hiring, evaluating, scheduling,
and disciplining staff ( Nurses, CNAS, and secretaries);
handling patient complaints, committee involvement,
patient care.
April 1992 - Present: Level II Staff Nurse on
Silverstein 12. Responsibilities include holistic primary
nursing, charge nurse on all shifts, precepting new staff
and students, and active committee involvement.
June 1990 - April 1992: Level I Staff Nurse on
Silverstein 12. Responsibilities included the primary
care of pre and post surgical patients undergoing various
surgical procedures; including: breast, vascular and
abdominal surgeries. Unique to Silverstein 12 is also
the care of surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring
and trauma patients.

non-pharmaceutical comfort measures, and emotional support.
