Sociology Children’s Book Major Grade Project
Objective: Create a children’s book which incorporates one of the major themes
of Sociology: Racism, Gender, Religion, Family, Culture, Groups, Deviance,
Inequality, or Change.
Guidelines:
1. Choose the sociological theme
2. The book must be at least 10 pages/slides long
3. Each page must have at least one illustration (which relates to the words on
the particular page)
4. Each page must be at least 3 FULL sentences.
5. The entire story should center on your chosen theme. (Don’t deviate)
6. All stories will be read aloud in class
7. The book must be colorful (remember this is for children)
