Thank you for taking an interest in the post of class teacher at Hillyfield
Primary Academy. Please find enclosed further information about the post
including job description and person specification.
Hillyfield Primary Academy is one of the leading primary schools in Britain and
is centred on a culturally diverse community. The school has been recognised
by OFSTED, in consecutive inspections, as providing an outstanding
education for its pupils. The school strives to provide a caring and supportive
ethos and a rich and balanced curriculum. The school is now split over two
sites and we have approximately 1100 pupils on roll. The school buildings
have had recent refurbishments and provide good facilities for staff and
children.
Hillyfield Academy staff and pupils use ‘Thinking Maps’ extensively to
structure and organise their thinking and are developing their use of
questioning for inquiry through the school wide introduction of Philosophy for
Children. Technology is an integral part of everyday learning.
The teaching team at the school is diverse with a range of experience.
