Creative Curriculum: Themes: Tudors
PSHE: Enabling Enterprises – a new venture.
RE: Faith – What does faith to me? How do individuals experience faith?
History: Changing Power of Monarchs. A significant turning point in British History.
Henry Vlll and his wives. Newspaper report, discovering a Tudor artefacts. A Tudor
project.
Science: Forces, including gravity, air resistance and propulsion and forces in water.
Computing: Children will be learning about ciphers and coding in encryption security.
Art/Design and Technology: Grid drawing.
Music: Tudor music and learning songs for our production in spring 2.
P.E. Games: Tag Rugby, gymnastics
Important Dates and Reminders:
Friday 5th February ‘Numbers day.’
Friday 5th February – maths workshops – parent and child working together:
9am and 2pm.
Monday and Tuesday 8th and 9th February – International days.
Wednesday and Thursday 10th and 11th February – Parents’ evening
Friday 12th February – INSET – School closed.
Please ensure your child has their PE kit for the following days:
Bonham: Opal: Tuesday and Thursday
Garnet: A longer session on Friday
St Georges: Opal: Tuesday and Wednesday Garnet: Monday and Thursday
Tanzanite: Thursday and Friday
Emerald: Tuesday and Thursday
Homework:
Literacy and Spellings: Given out weekly on a Tuesday and checked and tested the
following Monday,
Maths: Given out weekly on a Friday to be returned the following Friday.
