Re: SCHOOL CLUBS – Spring Term 2014
Our clubs were very popular last term and we are delighted that staff can offer a range of clubs for
your child to attend during the spring term. These school clubs are run on a voluntary basis and any
cost is to cover materials. We believe it is an important additional learning opportunity for children
and hope you can find the time to talk with your child about the choices that are available. We
would like as many children as possible to be involved so we would like to initially ask that each child
signs up for no more than two of the staff led clubs.
We also have some external clubs; please look out for the leaflets in your children bag.
Once your child has been accepted in a club, we would encourage your child to make a commitment
to that club. If a child cannot attend a club one week, please let the teacher in charge know as a
register is always maintained.
From time to time it will be necessary to cancel a club due to unforeseen circumstances; we will
endeavour to inform you as soon as possible if this event arises. Please check the letter to see which
dates clubs are running this term.
Safeguarding and collection of children at the end of clubs:
At the end of an after school club please collect your child from the club leader at the KS2 gate at
the side of the school. Permission can be given for older children to walk home. Please ensure that
you collect your child promptly.
If you have any queries regarding the clubs please ask the teacher concerned.
