Dear Parent,
Year 1 trip to Walton
Year 1 had a lovely day out at Walton-on-the-Naze when we eventually got
there on our replacement bus! As well as making a lot of super sand castles
some of the children made an elaborate irrigation system complete with
bridge! (engineers of the future). Well done to all the children who were very
well behaved and a big thank you to all out parent helpers.
Cheques
We are unfortunately experiencing more occasions when parents’ cheques
are being returned unpaid when presented to the school’s bank for payment.
The bank charges £2 per cheque in these situations and we will be passing
these costs in the parents in future.
Open Evening Thursday 3rd July 6.30 – 8.30 p.m.
This is an opportunity for parents to visit the school in the evening with their
child(ren) to see the variety and quality of all our children’s work. Governors
will also be available and they will try to seek your views on how our school is
doing. I look forward to seeing you then.
Please note: Foundation Stage children’s parents can come slightly earlier at
6 p.m. so that parents can come with their children who, hopefully are not too
tired by that time!
PUPIL NEWS
Zo Barber and Megan Courtney, Year 2 both passed their Turtle 18
Swimming Badge. Well done girls.
Imogen Payne, Year 6 came first and received a trophy in the Albatross
Annual Interclub Diving Completion at reading on 21st June 2008.
Congratulations Imogen.
We have a very busy three weeks to the end of term with lots of activities
going on in the school. Please can you make sure your child comes into
school with the right equipment (and their packed lunches in the morning!) We
are having increasing amounts of ‘forgotten’ items being brought into the
school later in the day.
Yours sincerely
Mr C. Reynolds
Headteacher
