Events taking place in Waterford to mark National Brain awareness week, March 9th –
15th

 Irish Chronic Pain Association, Thursday March 12th
The Irish Chronic Pain Association will host a talk on Thursday 12th March at
7.00 p.m. in the Granville Hotel, Meagher Quay, Waterford
Continuing with our regional Public Awareness Campaign the Mayor of
Waterford, Jack Walsh will officially open the Waterford event. Speaker and
respected Pain Consultant Dr Ken Patterson will give a comprehensive outline of
Chronic Pain as a condition in itself, the services currently available to patients
and the need for greater support of all those in CP.
A second speaker is yet to be confirmed. All are welcome to attend. For further

principal patient support group for all those suffering with chronic pain.
Waterford Cheshire will host a number of events for Brain Awareness Week.
 Peter Bradley Foundation, Monday 9th March
On Monday, 9th March artwork from the Peter Bradley Foundation will be on
view in the large Cheshire room.
 Carers, Thursday, 12th March
On Thursday, 12th March from 10am to 1pm, "Living with a neurological
condition" Open discussion led by a panel of speakers representing carers, service
providers and professionals. Followed by a Q and A session in the Large Cheshire
Room.
 Multiple Sclerosis Society, Alzheimers Association, Huntington's Disease
Association, Peter Bradley Foundation and Aware, Thursday 12th March
On Thursday 12th March from 10am to 1pm information stands and/or
representatives of Multiple Sclerosis Ireland, Alzheimers Association,
Huntington's Disease Association, Peter Bradley Foundation and Aware in the
foyer of Waterford Cheshire
 Peter Bradley Foundation, Friday 13th March
On Friday 13th March, launch of the Peter Bradley Foundation monthly social
evenings for people with brain injury, in the Cheshire Large Room.
