INCLEMENT WEATHER SCHEDULE
OAK RIDGE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

In the event of rain, extreme heat, or poor air quality, the following schedule will be implemented:
BEFORE SCHOOL
Before 8:40 AM

All students report to the Media Center
Staff members with AM duty report to the media Center.
5th – 6th grade students are dismissed to the lunch tables with a teacher on duty where they are
supervised until 8:40 AM.
Kindergarten teachers pick up any K students in the Media Center.
All 1st – 4th grade teachers report directly to the Media Center.
Leave classroom doors open to visually observe students arriving from the Media Center.
Teachers are able to pick students up from the Media Center prior to 8:40 AM.
5th – 6th grade teachers report to the lunch tables.
DURING RECESS (M, T, W, F)
Any change in recess schedules will be announced via the intercom.
10:15 – 10:28 AM
1st – 3rd grade students may be dismissed to the restrooms or to pay for their lunches. Staff
may bring their students to the Media Center for a recess break.
