Standard 5 Leadership Contract:
Standard 5: Students demonstrate and utilize knowledge of psychological and
sociological concepts, principles and strategies that apply to the learning and
performance of physical activity.

Each student will be given one leadership grade per tri-mester. Included in this
grade will be the responsibilities the student will have as a class leader or student
in class.

The leadership grade will be worth 40 points per tri-mester and will be based on
the student’s self-responsibility, social interaction and group dynamics. One point
will be deducted every time the criteria listed below are not followed.

Be dressed in proper attire for class and first to roll call
Lead warm-ups and stretches at beginning of class
Inform teacher of row’s absences or non-suits
Make sure all students are included in class activities
Set-up and break down equipment before and after class
Provide instruction to groups when necessary
Collect or distribute paperwork to peers
Maintain a positive attitude and be the first to provide an encouraging
word to his/her peers.
9. Show respect to teacher and peers when given leadership responsibilities
